May & June Wrap-up!

I haven’t been the best at updating this, and once it got further into June, I figured I would just combine the two months for a wrap-up.

I have passed my Goodreads goal of 50 books (currently at 56), and I haven’t upped the number because I don’t want to stress myself out or feel like IΒ have to read. This summer is continuing to be quite busy, and I deal with my anxiety by knitting. Since I can’t knit and read at the same time, I divide my free time. Sometimes it stresses me out to choose, but I don’t want to feel bad if I’m choosing to knit one day instead of read. Both reading and knitting are passions of mine, and having a higher Goodreads goal would just make my anxiety worse.

Also, from now on I will be listing comics’ authors as academic papers list authors, with the first listed author followed by et al. I don’t want to list the whole list, since I don’t want to accidentally leave any out, and Goodreads isn’t always complete when they list authors/illustrators/colorists/etc. to a comic’s page (which is what I use when writing down my wrap-ups).

Anyway, you’re here for the wrap-up, so here we go.

March 2017 Wrap-up!

Hi all. I haven’t a ton of books this past month (though I have started quite a few). I’ve been learning more about knitting and growing my skill set there, so my attention has been more divided between the two. It’s definitely not a bad thing, as knitting helps my anxiety and anxious hands, but I am hoping to get more reading done this next month.

All five-star reads!

September Wrap-Up and It Discussion

September Wrap-Up and It Discussion

As you may know, I read Stephen King’sΒ It during the month of September. This was my main focus for the month, though I did read some ofΒ Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas (I just haven’t finished it yet). Because of this, I don’t have a huge monthly wrap-up, so after the jump I’ve included my short discussion onΒ It. If you haven’t readΒ It, you may want to avoid the discussion as there may be spoilers.

September’s wrap-up:

  • Deep Dark Fears by Fran Krause
    • Rating: β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…
  • Poe by J. Barton Mitchell & Dean Kotz
    • Rating:Β β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†
  • It by Stephen King
    • Rating: β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…

I also posted an unboxing for Horror Block’s September Stephen King-themed box.
